Who We Are:
The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, child care centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

Facilities / Supply Chain
About the Role:
Provides facilities support services to multiple locations including the following:
Support general facility and space planning and utilization
Ensure a secure work environment while following safety guidelines
Support community service volunteer activities for all programs
Provide other standard support to the Facility Function
Provide services to multiple locations as required
Lead facility projects
What You’ll Do:
Building Maintenance and Repair Services:
Provide or support maintenance and repair services for all facilities and facility-related (non-distribution) equipment
Provide or support maintenance and repair service for utilities, elevators, HVAC, and security systems
Service as the primary vendor liaison for all vendor related service calls and supplies ordering and inventory tracking
Serve as the primary user along with the Facility Supervisor for deploying work orders through the Service Management Tool used organizationally.
Move Coordination:
Assist with moving of required facility equipment and major office furniture
Support minor facility expansion or construction projects
Monitor and support standards and guidelines for all space utilization
Routine Cleaning and Other Services
Provide or support custodial services, prevention, and remediation rodent control, and provide or support grounds and landscaping services
Support all non-inventory/product recycling services
Monitor security equipment and monitoring systems that protect personnel and property
Coordination and monitoring of the Court Mandated Community Service volunteers’ daily activities.

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience with basic carpentry, painting, and experience operating custodial hand and electric powered tools.
Work history of performing routine building maintenance tasks including electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing.
Must be able to work in varying temperature environments.
Even Better if you have:
Forklift certification / PIT equipment certification
Previous volunteer supervisory experience
General contract experience

Employee is?routinely required to lift and transport heavy items to waist level, up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing and walking are required.
May be required to drive a forklift and operate warehouse equipment.
This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus. Frequently operates in temperature conditions consistent with outside weather. Frequently transition between ambient and refrigerator / freezer temperatures. Occasional regional travel with ACFB team members may be required.
Must be able to work flexible hours and be available “on call.”
